The Association of Disabled in Wheelchairs is a non-government non-profit organization based in Minsk, the capital city of Belarus. Its main activity is to claim social rights for the physically handicapped and to help them integrate into normal life.
The association is currently involved in the Intellectual Labor Electronic Exchange Project (ILEE ) with a Belarusian organization called ECOPRESS. The target group implies unemployed youth and physically handicapped. The aim of the project is to solve the problem of unemployment and job placement of physically handicapped people by means of modern information technologies (internet). One of the long-term targets is to advance the project on a national scale, giving an opportunity to handicapped people to find distance jobs or full-time employment.
