Established in December 1995 in Baku, ISAR/Azerbaijan has developed the first NGO support center in the history of Azerbaijan. ISAR's 'NGO Resource and Training Center' exists to stimulate new NGOs and to promote and strengthen the activities of existing ones. ISAR's client NGOs work in the fields of environment, assistance to Azerbaijan's 700,000+ refugee population, culture, women's issues, human rights, public health information, journalism, legislative reform and others.
