Information Bulletin
This English-language bulletin is the only regular source of news from Belarus that we know of. The Bulletin, which carries newsbriefs about government, politics, domestic affairs, and foreign relations, is distributed every 3-5 days via e-mail. It ranges in size from 10-20 kilobytes per issue. To be added to the electronic distribution list send your request to: [email protected].

The Bulletin is published by the Mass-Media Center of Belarus, which was founded by a group of Belarussian journalists who wanted improve the standards of journalism in their country. With the support of the Soros Foundation and Internews the Mass-Media Center (MMC), located in Minsk, organizes training programs for journalists, newspaper professionals, television station staff, and others working in the mass-media. MMC provides Belarussian journalists with access to Western news sources and produces news programming which can be broadcast by TV stations in Belarus. The focus of MMC is in helping non-state media outlets.
