A Guide to E-mail in the NIS
The folks at IREX have put together a very good, brief introduction to using
e-mail in the NIS. "E-Mail in the Former Soviet Region and the Baltics: A
question-and-answer guide, available in electronic form," includes:
- a brief background on e-mail and the Internet in the NIS
- a list of the major e-mail providers in the NIS and the services they offer
- a brief overview of the equipment, software, and modems one needs for an e-
mail connection in the NIS
- an explanation of what is involved in sending Cyrillic e-mail.
The document, which is 18,000 bytes in size, can be downloaded from IREX's
