Kudos for CCSI

"I just wanted to register a 'thank you' to CCSI and the invaluable service that it provides. I have been a subscriber to the list for most of this past year, and am pleased at the quality of information and I might add, of the succinct way in which it is usually presented.

"As past chairman of The Evergreen State Society and current board member I'm particularly pleased that we have informational links between our organizations and serve the interests of civil society both here in the US and in the NIS."

Robert L. Ness

"The CivilSoc list is invaluable."

"You guys are everywhere! This is on a EE/NIS jobs page:

'CCSI - Center for Civil Society International Hands down one of the best information sources on the web for the NIS. Visit the homepage for hundreds of links with descriptions for US and NIS based NGOs and NPOs, or go straight to their amazing News and Announcements section for a large number of job announcements which are constantly updated and archived. Also, go straight to their Special Resources section which keys you in to places that volunteer and job opportunities appear.'"

"I am a Peace Corps volunteer in the Russian Far East. I wrote to you 10 months ago requesting help for my resource center. I wanted to tell you what a wonderful response I have received. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!! A gentleman in Wyoming read your page and donated $1500 for textbooks. Another gentleman donated $1000. A lady in Portland collected 6 boxes of books and a man in Illinois sent me 2 very useful dictionaries. But I am not the only one who has benefited. Several of my fellow volunteers have been contacted by old friends and through family members in response to my request. Several of them received help also since the donators saw the need was not just mine. The craziest event from all this was that I was re-united with a friend from high school (1991) who now lives and works in Moscow. I want to thank you. The resource center has a good start with books, technical equipment, and most important: direction! Thank you again, you guys are great!"

"Since your query about the response rate to our internship posting, we have gotten several strong resumes...all one needs is just a few good candidates and we now seem to have them."
