Please recommend a book or similar publication that discusses how to effectively run an NGO. This would be for an NGO already making good progress and hoping to grow.
Thanks.
I have always found Russia and the former soviet republics very interesting and I would like to have contacts from there, with whom I can exchange information. I would like to contact someone from Tuva in Russia, as well as in other places of the former USSR. If you can help, that would be really great. Thanks.
CCSI responds:
We have contact information and brief project descriptions for hundreds of Eurasian organizations. You can search through our list by country and city, or by field of activity by clicking on NIS Organizations on our home page.

The Pen Pal Organizations section of the site, accessible from the CCSI home page includes a number of organizations which help establish US-Eurasian pen pal relationships. You can also browse through the listing of organizations in Turkmenistan that is accessible via the NIS Organizations section of our site. There are a handful of organizations listed in Ashkabad that might be able to help you.
Recently I visited the Web site of the Information Consultative Centre of Ashgabat (www.icctm.org) which has contact information for dozens of local NGOs. Definitely worth a visit!

CCSI responds:
Thank you very much for your message. We are hoping to expand our Web site in the near future to include Central European organizations. We probably won't finish it for another couple of months, but you can look at the list we have developed so far here.
I am with an executive search firm in the U.S. that is currently looking for two very high level technology/systems executives for a major financial services company based in Moscow. I want to contact individuals (perhaps Russian ex-patriots--or anyone who would have an interest in living and working in Moscow). Where could I post information about the jobs? How can I get the greatest exposure to people who might have an interest and be qualified in these positions? Any ideas? Thanks!
CCSI responds:
We compile job announcements (mostly) in the field of non-governmental organizations working in Eurasia on our site. A good place for you to contact is the Russian MBA Association. There are also a number of other groups you might wish to contact listed in the "NIS Organizations/Business" category under the Main Index accessible from our home page.
