Would appreciate it if you would add our Website to your list of organizations in US under "Education." it is www.primenet.com/~cce/ Will reciprocate.
Thanks for considering request.
P.S. You should also add AFT and other key US organizations on Civnet and, for that matter, Civnet itself.
CCSI responds:
Thanks for you suggestions. We will also be reviewing your organizaition to add to our new Web Site.

I work for a grass-roots organization that monitors antisemitism and human rights violations in the former Soviet Union. The Union of Councils for Soviet Jews was established 26 years ago to advocate for Refuseniks who were denied exit from the Soviet Union. Since then we have expanded to include campaigns to fight for political prisoners, fair U.S. immigration policy, and return of Jewish properties, as well as, developing programs to foster Jewish renewal in FSU communities. Our own web page is located at http://ucsj.com/ucsj.
The information provided at this website has proven to be very helpful. Thank you for taking the time and effort to collect it. I hope it will continue to be a valuable source.
Sincerely,
Richard Cleland UCSJ
CCSI responds:

Current grad student in Russian at Bryn Mawr College. Summer program director for American Council of Teacher's of Russian at Moscow State University. Looking for NGO opportunities to use my experience in and knowledge of Russia.
CCSI responds:
If you have a specific area of interest, check out the appropriate sections in the US-NIS and NIS Organizations sections. For instance, there are a number of NGO clearinghouses available in the NGO Development
sections. If your interests are more broad, you can check out all the sections for NGOs that are doing work that interest you. Contact them, find out about their projects and programs and begin to find out how often they have openings. Even better--if one organization really catches your interest, offer your skills as a volunteer. Instant internship!

CCSI responds:
While CCSI focuses on non-profit, non-commerical organizations, you may wish to check the "Business" sections of the site. We do not list commerical organizations on the site. However, the business section will give you links to non-profit, non-commercial organizations that have an interest in promoting business in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. Since you are not a US Organization, I would suggest you go directly to the "NIS Organization" business section. There are few Georgian organizations listed there which would be a good place to begin looking for contacts.
