TV Monitor is a new, twice-monthly, Russian-language newsletter covering developments in TV broadcasting in the former Soviet Union. Published by Pilugin International Ventures, Inc., TV Monitor contains articles on the latest news and events affecting this industry, as well as information on ratings and other monitoring data.TV Monitor is edited by Olga Karpova, former editor of Vestnik Televisionni Informatsii, published by Video International until the August financial crisis. The publisher is Nicholas Pilugin, former coordinator of the USIA Media Assistance Clearinghouse, and a correspondent for TV East Europe.
Available by email or fax, a one-year subscription to indigenous, CIS-based organizations is only $110.00; subscriptions outside the former Soviet Union are $200 per year, with discounts to organizations ordering multiple copies. Payment may be made to our US or Russian bank account by wire transfer or check (US only).
TV Monitor also plans to begin publishing an English-language version in the next few months.
