Found general information about your organisation in the Moscow Compendium: US Non-Profit Assistance for the NIS publication.

The Movement of Youth is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organisation founded in 1993 and is working with international educational travel and exchange programmes. The Movement is self-financing organisation and it does not receive any permanent financial assistance from governmental or private bodies.

The main aim of the organisation is to make the world more open for young people, to help them to explore other countries, cultures and people of different cultures, and to deliver them from stereotypes to better understanding themselves and others. In the organisation we target its activities to young people in the age from 13 to 25 years old and all day-to-day work of the organisation runs by unpaid volunteers except the Director who is a part-time paid worker.

The largest field of our work is thematical short-term international exchange programmes with duration from 7 to 14 days for youth groups. The main themes we work with include Living in multicultural society, Youth leadership and Cultural differences & similarities in our societies. Each exchange programme we organise has a strong educational component and include a large number of workshops, group work sessions and discussions.

As our foreign exchange partner usually we have NGOs, youth clubs or youth centres. Beside the exchanges we also organise study visits and training programmes aimed at leadership development and learning of efficient management techniques for youth workers and volunteers.

We would be very gateful if you to send us additional information about your organisation and inform us could we apply to you for information about potential exchange partner organisations from the USA.
