Mission

CESI is a women's not-for-profit, non-governmental organization established in 1997 in response to problems of the violation of human rights, in particular women's and minority rights, nationalism, militarisation, and the deterioration of economic standards in the post-war period. It was founded by members of several women's and peace initiatives all of whom have many years of professional experience working with women war survivors. CESI works at the community and national levels and it has a 5-member staff, as well as a large, geographically and socially diverse network of volunteers throughout the country. CESI works extensively at the local level throughout the Republic of Croatia addressing the special needs of women in chronically neglected geographic regions.

Activities:

CESI is member of the Women's Network of Croatia, Women's Coalition and Antiwar Campaign of Croatia.
