The foundation "Help for Our Children" was established in 1992 in Cheshnegirovo (region of Plovdiv), Bulgaria. The basic aims of the foundation are aiding the orphans of deceased soldiers, funding the medical treatment of the foundation's members and founders, and helping the children of the invalid members of the foundation.Our basic activities are charity giving -- humanitarian, cultural and educational -- to help these children. We achieve our aims both independently and with the help of other people and organizations.
The foundation is financed by monthly donations of from the members, and voluntary donations of persons and organizations. At the moment there are 515 donors. In the 1997 the foundation was awarded the project "Institutional Development and Technical Equipment," financed by the PHARE-Program, together with the foundation"Development of the Civil Society" based in Sofia.
The purpose of the project is to expand the donation and humanitarian activity range. This will be accomplished at the institutional and regional level. That means founding separate sections in the area around Plovdiv. The foundation is interested in expanding their activities by giving aid to the orphaned children of soldiers in local air bases.
