More Web Guides to U.S. Universities


The 19 August issue of Fortune magazine has provided a concise guide to web sites which can be used to find a great deal of information about U.S. universities. I have presented below a brief outline of the information presented in the article. I have checked all of the addresses, and they are working. Some of the information may be been presented in earlier postings.

    This impressive site includes a comprehensive online college- search interview as well as SAT schedules and online test registrations

  2. The Princeton Review

    The Princeton Review is a major publisher of college guides and test-preparation books and software. You will find samples of everything here, including an SAT you can download and take for practice, and detailed information on more than 300 top colleges.

  3. Kaplan Educational Centers

    The archcompetitor of the Princeton Review in the test- preparation business, Kaplan has a useful site with similar information.

  4. U.S. News Online College Fair

    U.S. News rattles cages every year with these rankings of top colleges and universities.

  5. Yahoo College Entrance Page

    A comprehensive set of links to colleges, admissions offices, test-preparation companies, and other sites dealing with college admission and financial aid.

  6. The Ecola College Locator

    Another locator with links to all kinds of colleges, this one makes it easy for your to search for universities by city and state.
