Americans travelling in the NIS can be an important means of disseminating information, not only about U.S. resources, but also about resources that exist in the NIS. It is not uncommon for a Russian in Novosibirsk, say, to hear about a resource availabl
e to them in Moscow from a resident of Minneapolis. In this issue of Civil Society: East and West we have included information we hope many readers will pass on to their contacts and partners as they travel in the NIS this summer.
Beginning with the July-August issue, we will be sending "Civil Society: East and West" and "NetTalk" via email to anyone in the NIS who wishes to receive it. Also this summer, we will begin posting a variety of other resource materials on to the Internet, using the World Wide Web and/or Gopher. If you should meet people in your travels who would like to know more about these services, encourage them to contact us at using our e-mail address below.
We also want all NIS " third sector" organizations to know that we are very interested in receiving information about their work and projects, for possible inclusion in future issues of this newsletter or in other resources that we produce. We are especially interested in information about those NIS third sector organizations that would welcome collaboration or contact with American organizations sharing similar interests. Organizations not having access to e-mail can fax us at:
