Handbook for Journalists Russian edition


The World Press Freedom Committee has recently printed 30,000 copies of a Russian-language edition of its "Handbook for Journalists of Central and Eastern Europe," edited by Malcolm F. Mallette. The 160-page book was prepared in 1990 in response to a request from Stefan Bratkowski, president of the Polish Journalists Association, to help the numerous small local papers then coming into existence. The handbook is based primarily on American journalism experie nce and relates mostly to print journalism, although its principles apply also to the broadcast media. It includes chapters on:
