Ukrainian-American Partnerships
To Be Focus of October 8-10 Conference in D.C.
The Washington Group, an association of Ukrainian-American professionals, will focus its 1993 Leadership Conference on the theme of "Promoting Ukrainian-American Partnerships." Speakers at the conference will include Oleh Bilorus, Ukrainian ambassador to
the U.S., Zbigniew Brzezinski, and scores of other experts involved in five fields of activity:
- international assistance
- trade and investment
- the arts
- the media
- non-governmental organizations
The conference begins Friday evening, October 8, with a reception at the Ukrainian Embassy. Saturday and Sunday's activities will take place at the Georgetown University Conference Center in Washington, DC. A significant part of Sunday will be devoted to
a discussion of the planned formation of a national federation of Ukrainian-American professional organizations. All such Ukrainian-American groups will be invited to make presentations about their respective histories, activites and plans.
