International non-profit seeking full-time Project Manager to work with a global network of environmental organizations and American donors. Personal interview required.The Virtual Foundation is an on-line philanthropy project of ECOLOGIA, an international environmental organization headquartered in rural northeastern Pennsylvania. The purpose of the Virtual Foundation is to find support for grassroots environmental, human health, and sustainable development initiatives around the world.
Project Specific Tasks:
- Daily management of the Virtual Foundation website - including posting proposals, photos, and project progress reports.
- Coordinate activities with Grants Office in Lithuania and the Virtual Foundation Japan
- Assist in overall project development and planning.
- Assist with the implementation of a website marketing plan for the Virtual Foundation - including the production and distribution of press releases.
- Communicate and meet with donors and potential donors to the Virtual Foundation - including management of on-line discussions and public presentations to small groups and conferences.
General Requirements:
- Excellent oral and writing skills
- Commitment to work with a not-for-profit organization
- Knowledge of or experience with philanthropic or foundation world
- Ability to create web documents
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to communicate with foreign staff and partners
- Some supervisory experience
- Attention to detail
- General office skills
