Submissions for this international environmental prize, a joint venture of the University of St Andrews and the energy company Conoco, are now invited.Entries of no more than 2,000 words on the theme of "Making Waste Work" are required by the closing date of 10 January 2000. The aim of the Prize is to identify practical proposals capable of being taken forward.
Finalists will be invited by Sir Croispin Tickell, Chairman of Trustees, to participate in the St. Andrews Environmental Seminar on 11 and 12 May 2000, where they will be required to present and "champion" their submission. The winner will receive a medal and a case prize of US$ 25,000.
