In collaboration with the British-American Company Limited, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Cambridge Overseas Trust offer up to three scholarships to enable outstanding students from Russia to pursue one-year postgraduate courses in Economics, Finance, Land Economy or Management Studies at the University of Cambridge from October 1998.
Citizens of Russia, normally under the age of 30, who have obtained a first degree with high grades from a recognized university are eligible to apply. Successful applicants will need to have proved their proficiency in the English language by means of either the IELTS test (minimum score Band 7) or TOEFL (minimum score 600) and TOEFL Test Of Written English (minimum score 5.0). All applicants for a one-year taught postgraduate course in Economics or Finance will be required to proved the results of a Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test.
The scholarships, tenable for one academic year, will cover the University Composition Fee at the overseas rate, approved College fees, a maintenance allowance sufficient for a single student and an economy class return airfare.
All applicants must complete a Preliminary Application Form which can be obtained from their local institution or apply to the Moscow address provided above.
Preliminary application forms must be completed and returned to Cambridge Overseas Trust UK address by January 31, 1998
By submitting one Preliminary Application Form, candidates will automatically be considered for all the Trust's awards for which they are eligible.
