Rroma Mission, Kaunas, Lithuania

Dear Friends,

Rroma Community Union "Rroma Mission" is seeking sponsors who could support education and charity projects for Rroma (Gypsy) community.

Our organization was founded in 1999. It unites public Rroma organisations of Lithuania. We collect information and organise meetings for leaders of Rroma organisations to provide them an opportunity to exchange experiences and represent Rroma minority at national level. Rroma Community Union "Rroma Mission" was registered 3 May 1999 in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania

As local organisations need much support at present stage, we try to realise projects that could help them to become more independent solving local problems of Rroma people. Until now all activities of the Rroma Community Union were funded by activists from Kaunas.

We would like to find supporters that could help us:

• to organise training for activists of Rroma organisations on public relations, management of NGO, management of charity, community work with youth, Rroma women issues and to offer them English course;
• to organise special vocational courses for adults having no basic education;
• to support programs for increase of children and youth access to all levels of education;
• to organise charity for local Rroma organisations (means for repair of housing, clothing, footwear, training appliances for children, furniture, medicines).
