Country Director in UkraineProject Harmony, Inc., a Vermont-based, non-profit organization is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Country Director in Ukraine. The position, based in Kyiv, will begin March 15, 2000. Contract may be extended after one year.
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- US citizen
- Excellent to fluent Ukrainian and/or Russian
- Master's degree in Management or related field
- Three to five years' field experience in the NIS
- Proven experience in NGO, program, and personnel development
- Demonstrated passion for programs that foster social development
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong networking and public relations skills
- Solid organizational skills
- Proficiency in e-mail and Internet
- Skilled in Quicken or other financial reporting software

- Overseeing financial management of Project Harmony operations in Ukraine
- Managing the Community Connections Recruiting Program in Ukraine

- Representing PH before the US Embassy, NGOs in Ukraine, and Ukrainian governmental structures
- Providing regular program, personnel, and office updates to PH headquarters in Vermont
- Hiring, evaluating, and developing PH staff in Ukraine
- Communicating regularly with representatives of the US State Department
- Promoting PH programs in Ukraine
