Director for the Poland-America-Ukraine Cooperation Initiative (PAUCI)Applicants are being sought for the position of Project Director of PAUCI. The purpose of this trilateral USAID-funded grant program is to foster linkages and strengthen the cooperative relationship between Ukraine and Poland, and to take advantage of acquired expertise and lessons learned in Poland's successful transition to free-market democracy. PAUCI will be administered by Freedom House, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that promotes liberty and democracy throughout the world.
The ideal candidate will possess superior communication and management skills, have excellent leadership capabilities, be results-oriented, be conversant in either Ukrainian or Russian (Polish will also be considered an asset), and be a U.S. citizen. Applicants should have at least five years of project management experience in democratic development programs, including considerable experience in grant-making. Experience in working with senior government officials is desired.
