NIS College and University Partnerships Program, USIS

 

On September 16, 1999 the United States Information Agency released the Request for Proposals for the FY 2000 NIS College and University Partnerships Program (NISCUPP).

NISCUPP awards grants of up to $300,000 to US colleges or universities for the purpose of establishing/strengthening linkages with counterparts from the New Independent States (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan). Eligible disiciplines for partnerships include: business, law, journalism, education, and the economic and social sciences. Grant funds can be used for expenses such as the exchange of faculty and staff and the purchase or development of educational materials.
