The Institute of Russian and East European Studies is offering a world-wide competition for up to four Studentships for the academic year 1998-99. The Studentships will pay the University fees for the one-year course of full-time study for the postgraduate degree of M.Phil in Russian and East European Studies. Successful candidates will be required to commence their study at the Institute in Glasgow in October 1998.

Applicants should have a good undergraduate degree or an equivalent qualification in a social science subject. The M.Phil consists of three taught courses and a dissertation, plus a language test. Language tuition is provided.
