Program Assistants

IREX, a non-profit in international education and training seeks program assistants to provide administrative support for its academic exchanges and research division. Principal responsibilities will include providing back-up and administrative support on a number of IREX programs in the NIS, CEE, and Asia to DC-based program officers. These positions are available immediately and a minimum one-year minimum commitment is required. IREX offers one of the most comprehensive benefits packages in the Washington, DC area.

Since 1958, IREX and its predecessor organization, the Inter-University Committee on Travel Grants, have administered advanced field research and professional training exchanges between the United States and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the Baltic region, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Russia, Ukraine, Mongolia, and China. Committed to international education in its broadest sense, IREX's efforts encompass academic research, professional training, institution building, technical assistance, and policy programs with universities and other organizational partners in the region.
