Internet Access and Training Program
Baku, AzerbaijanThe International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX), a leading nonprofit organization in international education and training, currently seeks a qualified professional to fill the position of Regional Coordinator for management of a premier Internet program based in Baku, Azerbaijan. The regional coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the programmatic and technical aspects of a project in Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. This position requires superior management skills, experience in using Internet technology as an educational and training tool, and technical know-how. Qualifications include one-two years of management experience; well organized, skilled at handling multiple tasks, fluency in Russian and/or local language, and a clear technical understanding of the Internet. Beneficial skills include an understanding of TCP/IP networking and past work with US-government programs. Salary range is between $30-$35K. US Citizenship required. June 1, 1999 start date.
