The Foundation for Russian American Economic Cooperation (FRAEC) in Seattle, Washington is currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Project Coordinator for the U.S. West Coast-Russian Far East Ad Hoc Working Group (AHWG).The AHWG is a federally funded program whose mandate is to mitigate barriers to trade and investment between the U.S. West Coast and the Russian Far East. The Project Coordinator is responsible for the following:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Facilitate the work of AHWG private industry sectors, including: logistical support for sector meetings; archiving sector papers and projects; tracking action items and due dates; writing necessary correspondences in the process of implementation, and doing research if need be.
- Draft regular briefings for the AHWG Director, contacts in the U.S. Department of Commerce, constituents, and the public on the nature and progress of the aforementioned sector projects.
- Assist the AHWG Director in drafting correspondences, designing future AHWG projects and outreach to new constituents and organizations.
- Contribute to day to day operations of the AHWG website.
Preferred start date: Late February, Early March
- Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced office environment.
- Strong Russian language proficiency
- Team player with proven diplomatic skills
- Independent self-starter with an eye for detail
- Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with the world wide web / HTML
- Master of Arts Degree desired
- Previous work in non-profit, or government office desired.
