The Eurasia Foundation, a USAID-funded grant-making organization, seeks a qualified individual to lead its operations in Azerbaijan. This position will be based in Baku with some travel to the regions and other NIS countries as required. The position will report to the Caucasus Regional Director.Responsibilities include:
Requirements:
- Leadership in programmatic, administrative, financial, grants management, outreach, and representational activities of the Eurasia Foundation in Azerbaijan.
- Native English and strong proficiency in Russian;
- An advanced degree in a field relevant to the Foundation's work (law, economics, public policy, journalism, regional studies, etc.);
- At least four years experience working on development issues in the NIS, with two years in a position of significant management responsibility;
- Some experience with USAID procedures and grant management;
- Proven leadership skills, strong analytical and writing/communication abilities, and strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
