Country Directors, Central Asian Republics
Counterpart International has multiple positions available for Country Directors based in the Central Asian Republics for a civil society support program. These positions require a minimum two-year commitment. Duties: directly manage the country office, budget, staff and oversee the network of civil society support centers; manage all support services to a network of civil society support centers; seek new opportunities for program development; liaise with USAID/host governments/local and international NGOs; and plan/report on all program activities. Required: minimum of eight years management experience, including CIS projects; significant experience with NGO capacity-building, refugee reintegration or community development; strong organizational/interpersonal skills; and strong writing skills. Preferred: training/grant-making experience; proficiency in spoken Russian or a Central Asian language; familiarity with USAID policies/regulations; experience in government relations; and the ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining a sense of humor.

Senior Program Manager, Civil Society Division, Washington DC
Required: 8-10 years of international development experience; demonstrated ability in program development, marketing and management; proven success in proposal writing; strong writing and communication skills; and in-depth knowledge of civil society issues. Preferred: Familiarity with community development approaches; previous work in the FSU or CEE; and Russian language.

Program Officer, Civil Society Division, Washington DC
Required: Minimum of 5 years international development experience. Demonstrated ability in proposal writing and program management. Preferred: Specialization in one or more of the following: training, organizational development, or monitoring and evaluation.
