Search for Common Ground (SCG), a unique organization that promotes peaceful resolution and prevention of conflict, is seeking a Project Financial Coordinator for its Macedonia and Ukraine Projects.The Financial Coordinator's tasks include:
* Maintaining financial tracking system for all grants
* Assisting in the creation of budgets for new grant proposals
* Preparing check requests, wire transfers, invoices, AMEX and travel reports
* Interfacing with field, Brussels, and DC accounting departments
* Preparing and submitting financial reports to funders, the field offices and accounting
* Cross-referencing each grant with accounting department reports
* Preparing project financial updates and budget projections as requested
* Working with Macedonia and Ukraine Program Coordinators and Macedonia and Ukraine-based field staff to ensure accuracy in reporting and reimbursements
* Ensuring that all grants and expenses comply with grant agreements, funder regulations and organizational requirements
* Advising project staff on financial procedures and, when needed, providing training
The ideal candidate would possess a combination of the following qualities:
* Fluency in Russian language essential
* Previous financial management experience
* Strong spreadsheet skills
* Experience with financial grant management and proposal development
* Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to handle multiple tasks
* Previous experience working in an NGO/non-profit environment a plus
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Knowledge of USAID Rules and Regulations
* Knowledge of Quicken a plus
Salary: Commensurate with experience
