The Productivity Enhancement Program (PEP) is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Program Associate/Travel Coordinator position for its office in San Francisco, CA. Operated by the Center for Citizen Initiatives (CCI), PEP is an adaptation of the historic Marshall Plan's Technical Assistance Program, which helped resurrect post-World War II Europe. PEP brings non-English-speaking Russian manufacturers and business owners in a variety of industries to the United States for intensive training in American firms and plants. PEP is a cost-sharing program, with funding from the United State Information Agency, in-kind contributions from American volunteers, and fees paid by Russian participants. Duties and Responsibilities: The Program Associate / Travel Coordinator provides support to the Russian Operations department, maintains a Russian participant database and coordinates all travel arrangements for PEP participants coming to the U.S. for training. The department is responsible for communication with PEP's seven regional offices in Russia, screening and selecting candidates for participation, and working with regional offices for all Russia-side program preparations.

- Provide administrative and program support to the Russian Operations department;
- Maintain a complex database of Russian participants, including: data entry; performing searches; importing, sorting, and processing of Russian participant records; editing biographical and other data; modifying layouts and refining procedures in conjunction with program management;
- Track statistics and perform periodic updates of participant listings. Work with regional offices to ensure quality and timeliness of information;
- Assist Program Manager and department with selection and verification of Russian program participants. Track changes to delegations as needed with respect to other duties;
- Coordinate all travel arrangements for participants, facilitators and staff in conjunction with travel agent, including: making reservations that fit specific program needs; confirmation and adjustment of travel plans as needed; invoicing and tracking of travel costs; problem-solving; maintaining relationship with PEP's official travel agency; tracking travel related statistics; developing and refining procedures in conjunction with program management; needs to be available for trouble-shooting on delegation travel dates;
- Provide documentation for participants, facilitators and staff in preparation for delegations;
- Other projects as assigned
Salary Range: 25,000 - 28,000 (DOE) plus excellent benefits

- Macintosh computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, File Maker and Excel), knowledge of FileMaker Pro is required;
- excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
- strong writing, editing and typing skills;
- knowledge of travel industry and group reservation procedures preferred;
- knowledge of economic/ political situation in Russia and Russian language skills are a plus;
- personal commitment to and knowledge of the goals and mission of CCI
