Two English-Speaking Elementary Teachers Needed Immediately

The Azerbaijan-American Educational, Cultural, and Economic Center, Inc. is looking for two experienced and well-qualified teachers to instruct primary students in an English-language school in Baku, Azerbaijan. One class is a combined 1st/2nd grades, the other is a combined 3rd/4th grades. The school is the American University in Baku (AUB) Grade School.

The duration of the teaching commitment should be for at least one year. The need is immediate and urgent as the school year began September 1, and unanticipatedly high enrollments in the primary school have created a shortage of teachers.

Qualifications: Each teacher must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning and must be credentialed as a certified teacher, having undergone teacher training and professional development. Some years of experience in teaching grades 1-5 are necessary, with good references from former schools. Native speakers of English are preferred.
