The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) is working with the Provincial Government of Gorno-Badakhshan in Tajikistan on an Education Reform Project, based in Khorog. AKF is seeking to recruit a Primary Education Adviser to work with a local team to change teaching methods from a teacher-centred to a learner-centred approach, facilitate curriculum innovation, introduce appropriate assessment methods, and train key teachers to become trainers. All this has to be achieved in circumstances where most basic resources are lacking.
