Here is a list of Web sites, listservs and Usenet newsgroups

exhaustive. You will generally find that once you start down a path, the
path branches off to many interesting "side trips."

Searchers:
The Internet used to be thought of as the world's biggest library with all
the books scattered helter-skelter on the floor. But Web searching programs
allow you to find resources by typing in a keyword. In response, the
programs sift through all the files in their memory and sends back a list
of resources that match the keyword (or keywords). My favorite one is
Lycos; other people swear by Yahoo or one of the others listed below. Yahoo
includes a headline news service from Reuters.
Listservs:
Listservs help subscribers exchange information via e-mail, something like
a bulletin board. When you send the specified message to the listserv
address (using your first name and last name in the message), you become a
subscriber and receive further instructions on how to use your listserv.
Every message you send to the "list" address (for example,
[email protected]) is broadcast to every subscriber.
