Pictures at an exhibition

New Media for a New World 1995 was conducted at the Institute for USA-Canada Studies and the Russian-American Press and Information Center. Here are some photographs taken in and around the conference. Click on the thumbnail photos to see a larger image.

Some delegates stayed at the Mir Hotel, and an eighth-floor room yielded a panoramic view of the Ukraine Hotel, the Moscow River and the Russian White House.

Here's a picture of many of the participants, snapped in the courtyard outside Dom Zhurnalista, the House of Journalists, where we had our meals. You might be able to make out the dark statue at left, a memorial to the Soviet Union's battlefield journalists. (60K JPEG)
